Great Price; Friendly Staff; Easy Access to Inner Harbor & Camden Yards.

The staff was extremely helpful and always courteous. The room was comfortable and very clean upon our arrival. Additionally, the "continental breakfast" included with the stay was actually a full breakfast! There was a full breakfast buffet that included a warm breakfast line, as well as an assortment of the standard continental breakfast items, I.e,, cereal, pastries, bagels. I was very happy with our stay, and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a well- priced and pragmatic place to stay in Baltimore.

My only suggestion would be to move the extremely comfortable pillows out of the dresser drawers and put them on the bed. There was an extra set of pillows that appeared to be memory foam (the pillows that were on the bed upon our arrival were fine, too, though) tucked away in drawers, which we did not find until we were about to check out.

I appreciated the friendly staff and timeliness with which they responded to our requests

    Superb

I was only expecting a free continental breakfast. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that we were to receive a free hot breakfast. I plan on coming back to Baltimore for new years and will be booking once again at the mount Vernon hotel.

    Fabulous

Friendly, approachable staff helped me check in and out- complimentary breakfast each morning was hot and fresh- hotel walking distance to lots

My room didn't have a fridge

    Superb

Room was very comfortable and compares well with more expensive hotels except it had no refrigerator. They provided a very good complimentary breakfast. Location very close to inner harbor Baltimore.

Didn't like having to pay for parking. Less visible areas in bathroom were not clean.

It was a place to try to sleep while we visited a college for our son, not much more.

The parking in the garage is nearly impossible to navigate. There are large brick pillars and you cannot get in to most of the parking places. The heating system was very loud and the themostat did not work properly, we even requested a room change because of this and the second one was just as bad. The first room was dirty with a strong musty smell in the room.

I travel frequently and usually there are rooms available or an early check in. We arrived at 1 and were curtly told that check in was at 3 and no rooms were ready yet. Also, most staff seemed confused as to where we could park and the cost. The bathroom, has 1 towel per person, no hooks or bench or even a toilet seat to set your clothes on while you showered. No luggage rack in the room, one bag had to go on the desk and the other on a window sil, good thing it was a little bag.

    Superb

Comfortable, clean and fairly quiet. The people seemed nice.

There were not many outlets in the room to plug things in by the bed or desk. they were already full. I had to use the outlet by the ironing board. The outlet cover broke into numerous pieces when I plugged my computer in. The outlet was also not fixed to anything. Breakfast was cold.

    Superb

    Location, cleanliness, value.

Not a dislike, but we prefer Hotels with full time bar and restaurant. Plenty there within easy walking distance.

    Fabulous

Central Baltimore location; easy access to city arts, restaurants and attractions; convenient basement parking; and courteous, helpful staff.

    Superb

room very clean, spacious, beds comfortable, staff very accommodating and helpful. the location is central to many interests in baltimore. the weather was warm for the season and the ac wasn't on, but the staff put a fan in the room which worked quite well

the breakfast had many choices, but the hot food is not as good as it might be.

    Good

    Location, staff

The second day there was no hot water in the morning for a shower. Additionally, there was no resupply at breakfast. Though it was 9.00 there was no coffee or milk left etc.

    Very good

The location was great; within walking distance to downtown and the stadiums.

Breakfast was marginal. My food was lukewarm and the line long to get it. There wasn't enough space or seating for the amount of guests.

    Fabulous

I thought the location though a little farther from the Harbor than described on the map was reasonably priced enough that the $5.00 cab ride to the harbor for 4 people off set the extra expenses. It is still close enough to walk, but after speaking with police while watching a film scene being shot we decided it was safer to take a cab back to the room at night. The rooms were nice and the staff even nicer and very accomodating when extra towels were requested or directions printed off their computer at there suggestion. The breakfast was excellent and appreciated, traveling can be expensive and no one wants to leave a hotel for the day having to first search for breakfast before sight seeing. As we had to do in the too over priced hotel we stayed in afterwards in Gettysburg. But that is another post.....I Would stay at the Mt. Vernon every visit and listen to the 1st usa catherdral bells every morning right next door. Know my car is safely locked up in the garage and just short cab ride to the sights. Plus it is in the historical section so there was lots to see around the hotel and walking or cab riding back and forth.

Probably having to pay the $15.00 a day for parking, but it was well secured so it was worth it. The bathroom tub could be updated or re- grouted. I know folks who would not come back if they saw anything black in the bathroom.
